Chapman (email) (CALENDAR)
State Master Councilor
Tommy Chance
Chapman was born on July 11, 1989 in Nederland, TX to Tommy and
Kathy Chapman. He has one sister, Katie Chapman, who is serving
on the Grand Cross of Color Team and has served Texas Rainbow
in many grand offices. He is currently enrolled at Lamar University-
Beaumont. While he attended Nederland High School, he was active
in Band, Theatre Productions, Key Club, and other clubs. He attends
Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland, Texas.
Brother Chapman was initiated into Nederland Chapter #3616 on
July 14, 2001. He was installed as Master Councilor on October
21, 2002. He was installed again on July 7, 2003 and March 2, 2004.
He currently serves as Scribe. On July 14, 2006, he was invested
into the Houston Priory at the Sate-wide investiture held at Conclave
2006. On July 14, 2007, he was elevated to the rank and honor of
a Chevalier.
He has been awarded the Representative DeMolay Award, the Founder's
Membership Award, the Past Master Councilor's Meritorious Service
Award, the Blue Honor Key, and has successfully completed the Leadership
Correspondence Course. He has won numerous Ritual competitions
on the State level. He was honored to serve as District Deputy
State Master Councilor under Brother Randall Dupree and again under
Brother Chris Kircher. He was elected to serve as State Senior
Councilor at the 2005 Conclave. At the 2006 Conclave in Waco, he
was elected and installed as Deputy State Master Councilor. On
July 21, 2007, he was installed as the 78th State Master Councilor
of Texas DeMolay.
Chance turned
in his petition to Nederland Lodge #1368 on July 17, 2007, and
was raised a Master Mason on September 25, 2007. |

Paul
A. Canales (email)
Deputy State Master Councilor
Paul Alexander
Canales was born on October 4, 1989, in San Antonio, Texas,
to Carolina Canales. His mother married his stepfather, Torrey
Kite in the year 2000. He will be a Senior this Fall at Lutheran
High School of San Antonio. In his high school career, Paul
has been active in school extracurricular activities including
the football, basketball and baseball teams; lettering in football
and baseball.
Paul
was initiated into Albert Pike Chapter No. 58 on March 22,
2004. He has served as their Master Councilorfor the term of
June-October 2005 and earned his Past Master Councilor’s
Meritorious Service Award. Paul was invested into Albert Pike
Priory No. 38 on May 17, 2005. He served as Illustrious Knight
Commander for the term of June-October 2006 and recieved His
Past Illustrious Knight Commander's Meritorious Service award.
He has been awarded the Founder's Membership Award and the Blue
Honor Key. In October 2006, Paul was elevated to the rank and
honor of a Chevalier.
Paul was
honored to serve as District Deputy State Master Councilor
under Brother Zane Whitney in 2005. He was elected to serve
as State Senior Councilor at the 2006 Conclave. At the most
recent Conclave in Austin Texas, he was elected and installed
as Deputy State Master Councilor. |

Aaron
J. Saldana (email)
State Senior Councilor
Aaron James
Saldana was born on July 22, 1989, in Houston, Texas to Ricardo
and Sylvia Saldana. He has one brother named Michael Anthony
Saldana. He has just graduated from The High School For Law Enforcement
and Criminal Justice where he was an active member of Business
Professionals of America, and a former member the school’s
Spanish Club.
He was initiated
into Houston Chapter on July 2, 2003. He was installed as Master
Councilor in June of 2005. He received the Past Master Councilor’s Meritorious
Service Award. He has been awarded the Representative Demolay Award, and has
completed the first four portions of the Leadership Correspondence Course. This
past year he had the Chevalier conferred upon him.
He was invested
into Houston Priory in October of 2005, where he is currently
serving as the Page Commander. He
served Texas Demolay as the State Junior Councilor for the 2006-2007 year. At
this past Conclave he was elected to serve as State Senior Councilor
for the 2007-2008 year. |

Steven
Wayne Seymour (email)
State Treasurer
Steven Wayne
Seymour was selected the State Treasurer of the Texas DeMolay
Association on July 20, 1997. Steven is a Past Master Councilor
and earned the PMC- Meritorious Service Award at Sam B. Cantey,
Jr. Chapter No. 1840 in Bellaire Texas. In addition, he served
as Illustrious Knight Commander and earned the PIKC- Meritorious
Service Award of Houston Priory No. 194. He is a Past State Illustrious
Knight Commander, serving in 1980-1981. He also served as the Gulf
Coast Area Master Councilor and is a Past District Deputy State
Master Councilor. He has received the Leadership Correspondence
Course, Representative DeMolay Award, Blue Honor Key, Medal of
Appreciation, Legion of Honor, Cross of Honor and the Degree of
Chevalier. He was recognized as the Priory Advisor of the Year
for 1983-1984. He also served as Director of Knighthood under Past
Executive Officer Arthur Roberts. He is a Charter Member of the
International DeMolay Alumni Association. Dad Seymour is a Past
Chapter Advisor of Houston Chapter No. 201 and currently serving
as Chapter Advisor for Reagan Chapter No. 203.
Dad Seymour
was raised a Master Mason at Bellaire Masonic Lodge
No. 1336 and holds an Endowed Membership. In addition, he has
dual membership with Northwest Lodge No. 1434. He is an endowed
member
of the Houston Scottish Rite bodies, Arabia Shrine Temple, Chinar
Grotto, Houston Court Order of Amaranth. He is a Past Royal Patron
for the Houston Court and a Deputy Supreme Royal Patron for the
Order of Amaranth.
Dad Seymour
was active with both of his children in the YMCA Indian Guide
and Indian Princess program. He served
as tribal
chief twice
and nation chief once in that organization. In addition, he
has coached YMCA t-ball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. He
has
served on the board of his homeowners association as President.
He attends
regularly Northwoods Presbyterian Church. In addition to worship,
he finds time to play the trumpet in the church band, lead
youth retreats, and teach Sr. High Sunday School and Sr. High
confirmation.
Dad Seymour
is married to Angela Kay Seymour and has two children, Randall
and Melanie. Angela is a Past Worthy
Advisor of Melrose
Assembly, Past Chapter Sweetheart of Wilbourn Chapter, Past
Royal Matron of Houston Court Order of the Amaranth and Deputy
Supreme
Royal Matron Order of the Amaranth. Dad Seymour has a Bachelor's
degree from the University of Houston in Computer Science.
Presently he is the Manager of Corporation Applications for
Administaff. |

Edward Williams (email)

Mark Edward
Williams was born October 23, 1976, to Bonnie and Everett E. "Buster" Williams.
He was initiated into Albert Pike Chapter No. 58 in San Antonio
at the
age of 13.
Mark served
as Master Councilor of Albert Pike Chapter in 1992 and received
the Past Master Councilor's Meritorious
Service Award.
He was invested with the Order of Knighthood at the age of 16,
served as Illustrious Knight Commander of Albert Pike Priory
No. 38 in 1993 and received the Past Illustrious Knight Commander's
Meritorious Service Award. Mark is a Representative DeMolay,
received
the Founder's Membership Award and the Blue Honor Key, and was
invested with the Degree of Chevalier in 1994.
Mark served
the State Priory of Texas as Deputy State Illustrious Knight
Commander
in 1994-1995. He was elected State Master Councilor
of the Texas DeMolay Association in 1997-1998, and was appointed
by the Executive Officer to serve as State Scribe in 1998.
He received the Distinguished Service Award as DeMolay of the
Year
in Texas
in 1995. Mark was elected by the Supreme Council to receive
the DeMolay Legion of Honor in 2003.
Mark was raised
a Master Mason in Albert Pike Lodge No. 1169 in San Antonio.
He is a member of the San Antonio Scottish Rite Bodies, Alzafar
Shrine, and the York Rite Bodies in San Antonio and Llano, TX.
Mark is a graduate of St. Mary's University in San Antonio with
a
Bachelor
of Business
Administration. He currently resides
in
Austin.

Caryn
Jack
State Sweetheart
Caryn Michelle
Jack was born on February 26, 1989. She graduated
from James Madison High School in May, and is a freshman at Trinity
University. She is double majoring in English and Music,
and is involved in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Catholic Student
Group, and TUVAC. She is also on the Trinity Review staff.
Caryn is a Past Worthy Advisor of San Antonio Assembly #3 of the International
Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She is a Master of the Grand Cross
of Color. Caryn is Past Grand Choir Director, and is currently serving
as Grand Representative to New Jersey, New York, and North and South Dakota. |

Christopher
Olivo
State Illustrious Knight Commander
Christopher A. Olivo was born on December 16, 1987 in Harlingen,
Texas. He is the son of George and Elva Olivo. He has two sisters
Crystal (22) and Stephanie (17). He is currently studying Criminal
Justice at the University of Texas at Brownsville. He one day hopes
to work for the D.E.A.
Chris was
initiated into Phoenix Chapter # 4352 Order of DeMolay April
16, 2005. He served his chapter as the first Past Master Councilor
(October 1, 2005 - April 1, 2006) and assisted the chapter in
receiving its charter. On July 14, 2006, he was invested into
the Houston Priory at the State-wide investiture held at Conclave
2006. He is the first Past Illustrious Knight Commander of Glenn
Robinson priory. He has been awarded the Founder's Membership Award
and the Blue Honor Key. Chris also serves his Chapter's Squire
Manor as a Sir Knight. He is also an Entered Apprentice at Rio
Grande Lodge #81. |

Douglas
John Van Griner was born on November 19, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas
to the parents of Leslie and Sylvia Van Griner. He graduated
from Central Catholic High School in 1999. In 2003, he graduated
from the University of Texas at San Antonio with Bachelor of Business
Administration Degree in Finance. Professionally, he works
as a Staff Accountant for the U.S. Province of the Sisters of Charity
of the Incarnate Word.
Douglas was
initiated into Albert Pike Chapter No. 58 on September 25, 1995. He served as Master Councilor during the winter
term of 1996-97 and received the Past Master Councilor's Meritorious
Service Award. He received the Distinguished Service Award,
Representative DeMolay Award, Blue Honor Key and Founder’s
Membership Award. Aruba Chapter No. 1 in Oranjestad, Aruba
presented him with the Hats Off Award in 2000. He also served
as Scribe of Albert Pike Chapter No. 58 in 1998-99. In 1998,
Brother Van Griner was honored with the Degree of Chevalier. On
a statewide level, he served as Deputy State Master Councilor of
Texas DeMolay in 1998-99. In addition, he served Texas DeMolay,
as it’s 72nd State Master Councilor in 2001-2002.
Sir Knight
Van Griner was invested into the Order of Knighthood in Albert
Pike Priory No. 38 on November 23, 1996. He served
as Illustrious Knight Commander of the Priory for the winter term
1997-98 and received the Meritorious Service Award. He served
as Registrar of Albert Pike Priory No. 38 in 1998-99. He
also served as State Illustrious Knight Commander of the Texas
State Priory in 2000-01. He was appointed by the Executive
Officer to serve as State Registrar in 2002 and still holds that
position today.
Dad Van Griner
was raised a Master Mason in Albert Pike Masonic Lodge No. 1169 on
January 28, 2002. He has since affiliated DeMolay
Lodge No. 199 in 2004. In the York Rite of Freemasonry, he
is a member of San Antonio Chapter No. 381, R.A.M., San Antonio Council
No. 14, R. & S.M., and San Antonio Commandery No. 7, K.T. He
is an endowed life member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley
of San Antonio. He also holds memberships in Texas Council
No. 335, A. M. D., Texas Council No. 45, O. K. M. and Alzafar Shrine. |
